My name is Grace Phelon and I am passionate about nutrition education!
As some background, I am a registered dietitian nutritionist. I got my BS in Dietetics from Brigham Young University and my Masters in Dietetics Administration from Utah State University. I have experience in the Nebo School District, WIC (Women, Infants, Children) and at Timpanogos Regional Hospital (including the pediatric and NICU units). I am currently a stay-at-home Mom, but spend a few hours each week as the dietitian at our local grocery store for fun. I have a passion for nutrition education, especially with kids!
In my work and life experiences I’ve worked with many parents who feel overwhelmed and frustrated by all the nutrition misinformation out there and just want to know how to help their kids eat and live healthy. Other parents have told me of their concern about passing on their own insecurities, bad habits, and attitudes towards food on to their kids. Those are such important issues, especially considering we are faced with making food decisions at least three times a day every day of our lives!
I want to help parents like YOU gain the confidence to teach your children nutrition that will benefit them their entire lives! NOW is the time when we can have the most positive nutritional impact in these kids’ lives. With your help, hopefully we can help kids develop an excitement for nutrition and habits that will mean they won’t need the services of a dietitian like me when they grow up. Thanks in advance for your help!
