Drink up!


Water fightWater is super important for you to stay healthy! Did you know about 60% of your body is actually made up of water? But we lose some everyday as we sweat, burn energy, and use the bathroom. We can make up for the water we lose doing those things by drinking water often and eating lots of fruits and vegetables (they have lots of water too!) If you are 4-8 years old, make sure you are drinking about 5 cups of liquid every day and if you are 9-13 that you are drinking 7-8 cups of liquid per day. If you are exercising or playing very hard, make sure you drink water every 15 minutes, even if you are not thirsty. That will help you stay healthy and play your best!

For a fun twist, put some berries, sliced cucumber, or sliced orange in your water!
