Protein for muscles and bones


Can you name foods with protein? Maybe you thought of eggs, milk, beef, chicken, pork, fish, yogurt, cheese, nuts, beans or even something else! Each of these foods plus many more have a nutrient called protein. It is important to get protein at every meal because they are the building blocks of your muscles and bones. You are growing so much right now, so that protein will make sure you have strong bones that won’t break and strong muscles that let you play! My favorite protein is black beans and my baby’s favorite is scrambled eggs! What is your favorite protein food?
